# Agent Embassy — Terms of Service (v1.0.0)

Agent Embassy ("the Embassy") provides automated machine-commerce endpoints
for AI agents: paid tools settled in USDC via x402 v2 on Base (eip155:8453)
or Arbitrum One (eip155:42161). All market data and checks are paid; only
trust infrastructure (receipt verification, discovery documents, 402 responses)
requires no payment.
By calling any Embassy endpoint you agree to these terms.

## 1. What you are buying

- **verified_check — $0.15 USDC.** One automated server-side fetch of your
  HTTPS URL and one evaluation of your conditions against exactly what was
  returned. The signed Outcome Receipt is evidence of REQUEST + PAYMENT +
  one automated check run at the recorded time — not of ongoing truth.
  Content may change after the check.
- **register_recovery — $1.00 USDC.** Durable storage of your
  client-encrypted recovery blob, queueing for human concierge review
  within 24 hours, and a good-faith, lawful attempt to complete the
  requested action. No completion is guaranteed. v1 scope is storage +
  review only.
- **compute_history — $0.25 USDC.** One bounded time-series read of
  public compute-market asks, embedded in your signed receipt. Upstream
  sources are internal and never named.
- **Trust infrastructure** (receipt lookup, discovery documents, 402 responses):
  no payment required, best-effort, no SLA. All market data and checks are paid.

## 2. Receipts are evidence, not promises

Every paid call returns a signed Outcome Receipt containing the full
action transcript so anyone can re-verify what happened. A receipt proves
what the Embassy did and what it observed — it is not a warranty that a
URL will stay up, that a market price will hold, or that a recovery action
will succeed.

## 3. Fees and refunds

Fees are collected on-chain via x402 before the action runs. Fees are
non-refundable once the automated action runs or human review begins.
If the Embassy cannot attempt your action at all (e.g. suspended tool),
no fee is taken.

## 4. Liability cap

Maximum aggregate liability per receipt is the amount paid for that
receipt. The Embassy is not a bank, not a licensed money transmitter,
and not a law firm. Regulated actions are performed only through
licensed partners or declined.

## 5. Market data is not advice

Compute-market prices are ephemeral public listing asks with provenance,
not delivered-cost guarantees and not financial advice. Re-observe
before any decision. Nothing on this service is an offer to buy or sell
securities or any financial instrument.

## 6. Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully. No abuse of rate limits, no attempts to disrupt
the service, no unlawful targets for verified checks (HTTPS only;
private/loopback addresses are refused). We may rate-limit, suspend, or
refuse calls that threaten the service.

## 7. As-is, evolving service

The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. Endpoints,
prices, and these terms may change; material changes will be reflected in
the versioned discovery documents (/.well-known/embassy.json) and here.
Continued use after a change is acceptance of it.
